What Must Be Done to Save California

1. Return to a part time Legislature that meets for 6 months every other year


2. Enact a flat tax state income tax at 5% rate


3. Establish a non-partisan commission for re-apportionment


4. Immigration reform. Require all non-citizens to report their immigration status whenever they interact with government agencies. Require all government workers to report suspected illegal aliens to INS. Re-establish Prop 187 as the law of the land


5. Tort Reform. Raise the bar for filing nuisance lawsuits, make loser pay court costs. Prohibit cities and counties from instituting blackmail suits against arms manufacturers, tobacco companies, food franchises, etc.


6. Dismantle State bureaucracies (Cal-EPA, Cal-OSHA) that duplicate federal agencies


7. Education reform. Allow school choice vouchers for all students. Dismantle the State Education bureacracy. Break up large school districts into neighborhood-sized districts.


8. Infrastructure. Set aside 20% of state budget for infrastructure. Privatize Caltrans


9. English as the official language - outlaw multi-lingual state documents.

9/11 Victims' Families Demand Immigration Policy Changes

(CNSNews.com) - On the eve of the second anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, victims' relatives blamed President Bush, Bill Clinton and Congress for immigration policies they said allowed the terrorists to enter the country and execute their plan.

At a Capitol Hill news conference Wednesday, members of the 9/11 Families for Secure America (FSA) said they will no longer be ignored by politicians who they say care more about their own careers than the lives of legal American citizens.

"Members of Congress of both parties who oppose immigration reform have made individual political calculations and decided that what is necessary for the security of our country might, in the short run, cost them the support of organized special interests," said Peter Gadiel, whose son, James, was killed in the World Trade Center.

You can tell when a democrat is lying - his mouth is open. And you can tell when someone has a good idea - when the democrats call you a racist for expressing it. Open borders will be a key factor in the Second Civil War, as important as slavery was in causing the First Civil war.
